Wired to Connect is an amazing book by Amy Banks and Leigh Ann Hirschmann that I have been reading recently. This book presents the science and reasoning behind certain things I have been seeing and feeling. Why do we not feel good about ourselves? Why do we think relationships are too much work? Why do we prefer retreating into our turtle shells instead of getting out there and making friends?
A lot of this is because we have lost the fun and happiness that healthy relationships bring and out brain has been trained to think of relationships as something bad. This book has ways of training your brain back to be normal and healthy. As I was reading it and as I started looking at myself and everywhere around me, I just had to make an effort to see if I can bring others into this journey – and who knows, we might all become friends 🙂
